In order to participate in the Botswana programme, nonprofit organisations in Botswana are required to meet the eligibility criteria outlined below and those required by individual Donating Partners.

Eligible organisations will need:

• Be registered with the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs as a non-profit organisation; AND
  Need to submit a copy of Certificate of Registration as issued by the Registrar of Societies.

OR

• Be registered as a Trust with the Registrar of Deeds from Attorney General’s office; AND
  Need to submit a copy of Trust Deeds documentation as issued by the Registrar of Deeds indicating their registration.

OR

• Be registered with the Registrar of Companies within the Ministry of Trade and Industry as a non-profit organisation; AND
• Need to submit a copy of their Certificate of Incorporation as issued by the Registrar of Companies.

In order for US to validate your organization, you will need to provide sufficient evidence that your organization holds the above status. This may include a certificate of registration or incorporation, inclusion in an official government registry or database, and/or a copy of your organization’s governing documents.

To initiate the validation review process, the organization should register on this website and provide all requested information. Our designated  representative will review the provided details and determine if the registered organization meets the requirements established in the localized definition.

Please note that validated organizations are also subject to any additional eligibility criteria required by specific programs or service offerings being applied for.

In order to participate in the TechSoup South Africa Programme, South African non-profit organisations are required to meet both the general eligibility criteria outlined below and those required by individual Donating Partners.

Eligible organisations will need to provide one or more of the following:

• Public Benefit Organisations (PBOs) as approved by the South African Revenue Service (SARS) Tax Exemption Unit pursuant to Section 30 of the Income Tax Act, 1962, as amended. PBOs will need to send us a copy of SARS letter.
• NonProfit Organisations (NPOs) registered on the Register of NPOs granted by the NPO Directorate pursuant to the Nonprofit Organizations Act, 1997 (NPO Act).
• NPOs will need to send us a copy of the certificate.
• NonProfit Companies (NPC) registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission pursuant to the Companies Act, 2008, as amended. NPC will need send a copy of the certificate.
• Trusts registered with the Master of the Supreme Court pursuant to the Trust Property Control Act 57 of 1988, and operating on a nonprofit basis for the public benefit.
• Trusts will need to send us a copy of the Deeds of Trust documentation.
• Organisations must be prepared, upon request, to submit additional documentation to TechSoup South Africa including their mission and vision, approximate annual operating budget, organisation’s email address, etc.

In order to participate in the Techsoup Kenya programme, nonprofit organisations in Kenya are required to meet the eligibility criteria outlined below and those required by individual Donating Partners.

Eligible organisations will:

• Be currently registered with the NGO Coordination Board or any other relevant Kenyan body as a non-profit organisation; AND
• Need to submit a copy of your certificate issued by the relevant registration body indicating your registration body.
  AND
• Need to have a PIN number registered with the Kenya Revenue Authority ; AND
• Need to submit a copy of this certificate as proof of registration.

In order to participate in TechSoup Tanzania programs and services, an organization must be validated by TechSoup as an organization operating on a nonprofit basis for the public benefit.

In order to successfully complete the validation review in Tanzania, an organization must be:

• Organizations must be registered as non-governmental organizations (NGOs) under the Non-Governmental Organizations Act, 2002 (NGO Act); or religious organizations registered under the Societies Act, as amended.
